The Lost Symbol..

The Lost Symbol - The most awaited novel of the millenium. The await worths it. Once the announcement of Dan Brown writing his next novel came, Rumor had it that the name is "Solomon's Key" or "Solomon's Wisdom". But it got published with the name "The Lost Symbol". Still the rumoured names also have a connection and you ll get it once you read the book.
Due to technology's abnormal growth, the soft copy got published for free (torrent la thaan..) the second day of the book's release. Here I want to apologise to my friend, who's against piracy. Sorry Sir, I can't help it (actually I couldn't afford it.. Dabbu ledhu..). The original copy is Rs.699, which the book worths it. But am not. So went ahead with the soft copy.
படிச்சேன் படிச்சேன் ராப்பகலா படிச்சேன். But for an hour I was able to read only some 20 - 22 pages. So it took a week to finish it off. Hardwork paid.
Coming to the plot:
Asusual Robert Langdon (the symbologist from "Angels and Demons" and "The Davinci code".
Asusual a secret Brotherhood).
Asusual a villian to reveal the brotherhood's prime secret.
Asusual a beautiful old/middle aged lady (ayyya...)
Asusual Fantastic..
Robert wakes up by a bad dream as in the other two novels and finds a telegram from his dear friend and guide Peter Solomon. It summons Robert to address a speech in the Smithsonian gala held every year. A special flight has also been arranged to take Langdon to the capital of U.S.
When Robert reaches the place, nothing is as expected. No crowd and no sign of a meeting. Then he gets a call and tells Robert that hes gotta help the caller to break the secret of the Masons (athaanpa kotthanaarunga.. but in U.S. its a very big brotherhood, the Masons
exampli gratia: Sir George Washington). If he fails, Peter Solomon will be dead.
Who's the caller? What's the motive? Why Robert? and why the Masons?
"ALL WILL BE REVEALED"
Rather than making a blunt murder mystery, Dan always makes his novels a puzzle, which when gets solved step by step makes it more interesting. A small example is the quote I gave above. Its not just a sentence. Its from the novel.
"ALL WILL BE REVEALED AT THE THIRTY-THIRD DEGREE"
What can you possibly think of the word "Degree"? All the meanings imply here. Read the novel to explore and enjoy. He shows the America in a way even the Americans havent seen it.
நாயகன் கமல் மாதிரி "எல்லாரும் என்னைய மாதிரி திருட்டுத்தனமா படிக்காம, காசு குடுத்து வாங்கி படிங்க. அப்ப தான் மண்டையில நிக்கும்"...
