"Sorry I don't know hindi. Better you can speak in English" என்றேன்.

  2. good post aftr a long time.. this is true. even I have felt that many times.. in fact daily...
Almost every country in this world have their own national language. I thought Hindi is the national language for India, but ppl say there is no national language for India. May we may have confusion in choosing English or Hindi because both are equally used :)

  3. and ya.. wat i feel is there must be 1 language to communicate within India. Let that be Hindi. There must be another language to communicate with rest of the world. Let that be English. There must be one language to communicate within local state people. Let that be Tamil,Telugu,Kananda,Malayalam, Marathi or adithi ....

  6. Who stopped us from learning Hindi?

If we are going out of state. we should take measure to learn to other language. Government cant do anything.

we are educated, we have mind to think.

This is not big problem at all.

In AP, ppl started using Hindi in local government organizations and usage of Telugu started decreasing...

so Hindi language came into in local government organizations.

Do you want this to happen in TN?

For ease of communication and to avoid simple problems we cant start using an single language across our country. Then down the line we a lot of languages will not exists.

Tamil can also be the one among the languages that can be lost.

Anyways nice to see a post in Thamizh

  7. Great to see a contradicting comment baskar. Happy to discuss. Its our responsibility to adapt ourselves. I agree. But what's wrong in keeping hindi a second language in schools as we already have english. Am staying with 5 telugu guys. They don't speak within themselves in hindi. Pure telugu. So what I feel is that knowing one more language is no harm. Learning it stage by stage in school is the best way.

  9. As a tamilian,i also dont want to TAMIL to die.One thing we need to know, because of not accepting hindi, tamil nadu becomes english nadu...I think this nature will kill tamil from tamilnadu..After some time ,our successor will not know tamil, hindi and english. We are accepting our strength become weak by our TAMIL LEADERS!!!

  10. One more thing I want to stress at this point. Tamil is getting destroyed not because of the medium of study but because of the way english occupied our houses. In satyam cinemas a father is asking his son, ofcourse tamilians, "Could you hold this for me?". Is it necessary? Develop tamil in your houses and hearts. Not by denying to learn other languages.. I hope it made sense..
